The Village Voice pages reflect a revised remit to allow a wider coverage of village events.

The weekly "Filby News" bulletin has been published on the main Village Voice page since 20th October 2009. However, since the bulletin of Tuesday 20th October 2015 no further bulletins or communications have been received.
Every six months past reports are regrouped for ease of access. To see different dates please go to:

W.I. reports will continue to be available from the Filby and District W. I. page.

We remain extremely keen for an opportunity to see and record your photographs covering Filby, its people, events and activities, both past and present. It is intended suitable material will, in time, become part of the Filby Collection.

To publicise your Filby related event please email the webmaster@filbyvillage.org.uk

Voices from the Past

On 20th October 2009, we started publishing a weekly "Filby News" bulletin on the Village Voice page.
Then we got to wondering what our forebears considered worthy of record and what they were doing one hundred and twenty years ago. This page is the result. Since January 2010 we have published, month by month, the Victorian equivalent of Village Voice starting with January 1890.

www.filbyvillagehall.org.uk

For some time much village fund raising has centred on this project. Following a successful bid for Big Lottery funding work has been completed and the keys handed over on 19th June 2015. To help us maintain and equip the new hall please continue to support local events and initiatives. To celebrate the new hall it now has its own new, dedicated website at www.filbyvillagehall.org.uk

Clubroom

This building is a bit special as it is one of the last two structures using 'clay lump' in their construction in the village.
