Plans can be seen on request at the Post Office and fund raising continues. A £50 donation has been received from a table top sale in August
Next fund raising event
Vanessa Flannery from the Pampered chef will be visiting Filby Clubroom on Tuesday 7th November at 7.30 to hold a fund raising event in aid of the New Village Hall.
The Pampered Chef is an American Company supplying kitchen tools to make life in the kitchen simpler, quicker and more exciting! There will be a cookery demonstration and the opportunity to see, try and buy some of the products. Tickets, price £2, will include a raffle, mulled wine and a chance to sample the food prepared during the evening.
Tickets are available in advance from the Post Office. Please come and join us - bring a friend or two.
Bingo
Next Bingo Friday 13th October at 7.30 pm in the Clubroom
Fete
The total raised at the August fete was £2593.59, with Bar and BBQ to come in from the Norfolk Broads Lions. Other organisations benefited with good stalls ie Church, Mother and Toddler, Youth Group and Mautby Church. Many charities also did well i.e. Faith, Guiding Light, Seal and Bird Reserve Trust etc. Thank you to everyone who helped to make it a great weekend.

Filby in Bloom
Filby won Best Kept Village with a gold medal in the Anglia in Bloom competition. We have now held this title since 1999. Thanks to Mr and Mrs Barnard for travelling to Thurrock to collect our award (Only six gold medals were awarded in Anglia in Bloom this year)
Fund raising has now started for 2006/07 and donations made by cheque should be payable to Filby in Bloom
